Back for good

By Donna Duggan

Deputy Editor, Donna Duggan, returns to MiNDFOOD following a two year break.

I have just returned to MiNDFOOD after a two-year hiatus (I had another bub and did some writing for a national newspaper). I love being back as it’s such an exhilarating place to work. It’s interesting to see how much the magazine has evolved in the past two years, and it’s an exciting time to return and to be part of the continued growth.

The team who create MiNDFOOD are a really close-knit group. A few times a week we sit around the table discussing ideas for the magazine and website; we also talk about what’s happening in the news, in the community and in our life. We are all from different backgrounds and span different age groups so it’s always fascinating to hear what people think about different issues.

This week some of the topics we have been discussing are planking, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Hands of Humanity and the film Hangover part II (I thought it was offensive, Lizzy thought it was funny, what did you think?).

We are currently looking forward to the release of our winter issue (July/August) and I can’t help but feel passionate about what we are creating, as well as very proud.

This issue we have made a few tweaks and improvements as we try to do each issue to make the magazine not only visually stimulating but also reader-friendly and thought-provoking.

If there is something you would like to see more of, or less of, please let us know. If you come across something that you would like to learn more about please let us know. And if there is something you think we have missed that would benefit our readers please let us know. Because you, dear reader, are part of the MiNDFOOD team too.
