2015 Golden Globe nominees announced
MiNDFOOD cover stars are amongst the list of nominees for the 2015 Golden Globes.

Today heralded the kick-off of the 2015 awards season fever with the announcement of the nominees for next year’s night of nights, Hollywood’s Golden Globes.

The awards will be held on January 11 and dynamic comedy duo tina Fey and Amy Poehler will be back to host what is sure to be another hilarious show.

MiNDFOOD’s latest cover stars have both been nominated and are strong contenders in the category for Best Actress for a Drama film. Everyones favourite friend Jennifer Aniston, for Cake and Reese Witherspoon for Wild.

Witherspoon spoke about her fourth Golden Globe nomination: “I’m extremely thankful that the film is being recognised in this way. WILD is truly my baby and was a labor of love from the beginning. Cheryl Strayed was so brave in putting her life’s journey into words and it makes me happy that this type of recognition will hopefully drive more people to experience it on film.”

The Sweet Home Alabama star was previously nominated three times for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical for 1999’s Election and 2001’s Legally Blonde, taking home the award for 2005’s Walk the Line.

“I’m just humbled,” said Jennifer Aniston, of her first Golden Globe nomination for film work – she has previously won a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series for Friends.

“It’s just all happening so fast and so beautifully. The Globes are a big fun party and it’s so fun to celebrate with your peers. My friend Emily [Blunt] is nominated so I’m excited for her. We’re just going to have a fun night,” Aniston added.

But, when it came to major motion pictures, surreal show business satire Birdman stood out with nominations for Michael Keaton, Emma Stone and Edward Norton.
