She looks like a painting,” exclaimed royal supporter, Natasha Cadieux, of the Duchess of Cambridge, one of thousands of supported who had turned up to catch a view of the royal as they visited Vancouver on the  second day of their eight-day visit to Canada.

The couple flew from Victoria Harbour, the capital of British Columbia on Sunday morning, taking a seaplane to Vancouver, which is about 70 miles (112 km) north of the capital of British Colombia. Prince George and Princess Charlotte remained behind at Government House in Victoria, the family’s base during the tour. The royal couple were scheduled to visit a number of engagements in Vancouver, including the Immigrant Services Society of BC,  which provides support services for immigrants and refugees arriving in Canada, and Sheway, an outreach program for women with drug and alcohol addictions who are pregnant or parenting.

The eight-day royal tour kicked off on Sunday with an official welcome in Victoria, British Columbia, with the family of four arriving in the Canadian Air Force jet. The three-year-old Prince walked down the steps of the military plane holding his parents’ hands, while the Duchess of Cambridge carried Princess Charlotte. During a ceremonial welcome in the capital of British Columbia, Prince William told a welcoming crowd of thousands: “Catherine and I are delighted to be back in Canada. When we were here last time, we had been married only three months. “The warm welcome that you gave us at that important moment in our lives meant a lot to us – and we have never forgotten it. “That is why we are so pleased that George and Charlotte can be with us in Canada this time round, beginning their own lifetime of friendship with this wonderful country.”
