What are some of the lessons your favourite celebrities wish they'd learnt when they were young?

Stars talk to MiNDFOOD about what piece of advice they would give their younger selves.

JENNIFER LOPEZ:

I’d tell myself to love myself because when we love ourselves we make good choices. When we don’t, we are not focused and we make bad choices. I learned that lesson the hard way.

CLINT EASTWOOD:

The young Clint Eastwood was never a smart kid. I was a slow learner so I would tell myself if I could, speed up the process a little bit more. And practice, practice, practice.

REESE WITHERSPOON:

That no one is coming to save you and you will have to save yourself. And also that no relationship, no child, mother or father are going to fix your problems.

ROBERT PATTINSON:

I wouldn’t tell myself much at all. I don’t know if that’s a good sign or not (laughs).

ROB LOWE:

Well, I got sober in 1991, so I was in my 20s. That changed my life forever, and I have been lucky enough to never look back. I took my own advice then.

CAMERON DIAZ:

Well, basically when you’re in your 40s you realise that in your 20s you didn’t know anything. I’d remind myself of that.

MARK WAHLBERG:

I was in a bad place when I was younger. I’d remind myself that it’s not too late to turn my life around.

MICHAEL DOUGLAS:

I would tell myself, ‘Don’t worry. It’s going to be okay.’

ANTONIO BANDERAS:

In your 20s you want to be ‘the man’ but now that I’m 54 I’m told that in some ways I have a kid’s mind. And I like that. So I would tell myself not to be in such a hurry to grow up.
