If you’re a Big Apple-bound street art or Gucci fan make a beeline to SoHo – Lafayette Street between Prince and Spring Streets to be precise – as Gucci has collaborated with Colossal Media to turn a mammoth 2,500-square-foot wall into a work of art. The collaboration launched at the beginning of the week with the Italian fashion revealing a hand-painted mural by San Francisco-based illustrator Jayde Fish. Fish’s illustrations were feature in Gucci’s spring/summer 2017 womenswear collection.
The first illustration was painted over 6 days to coincide with the beginning of New York Fashion Week and will remain on the wall until the end of March. To celebrate the artwork, Fish has also created a Snapchat geofilter that is available in the vicinity of the artwork.
The project will continue with a variety of collaborations launching throughout the year.
