An anonymous high level security source says that more than 60 of the Nigerian women and girls abducted last month by suspected Boko Haram militants in North East Nigeria have escaped their captors.
An anonymous, high-level security source in the Borno state capital of Maidugari, has confirmed the escape and claims the women fled when their captors went out to fight.
At this stage, more than 200 school girls are still being held captive.
