After weeks of rumours, Saint Laurent confirmed on Friday that Hedi Slimane would be exiting the French fashion house. Slimane, a fashion designer and prominent photographer, was appointed the position of creative director in 2012 after a seven-year tenure at Dior Homme. Antony Vaccarello, a Belgian-born designer currently at the creative helm of Versus Versace, is rumoured to be the top running successor to Slimane. Slimane’s departure comes quickly on the heels of a succession of departures at a handful of fashion houses including Alexander Wang at Balenciaga, Alber Elbaz at Lanvin,  and Raf Simons at Christian Dior.

To celebrate Slimane’s four-year stint at Saint Laurent, we revisit some of our favourite looks off the runway.
