In celebration of M.A.C’s new Ponsonby store, we show a gallery of M.A.C imagery, exemplifying the brand’s unique blend of theatricality and fashion, such as that seen at the recent World of Wearable Art (WOW) season for 2014.

M.A.C joined forces with WOW for this year’s event, exclusively providing products for WOW’s team of make-up artists to create the show looks supported by an artistry Masterclass facilitated by M.A.C National Artist Kiekie Stanners, at which Stanners shared her tips and techniques for on-stage make-up with the WOW team.

“When we began working with WOW, we wanted to reflect the fashion as much as the art,” says WOW head of make-up Michele Perry of herself and lead make-up artist Hayley Ness. “The duality of M.A.C from theatricality to fashion makes them the only brand that we’ve been able to do this with. For WOW we have to create a lot of heavy character make-up and then beautiful model make-up. Nobody else has the art and the fashion together like MAC.”
