The queen of vintage and star of television series L.A Frock Stars, Doris Raymond, presented “her first” runway show with a collection of red carpet worthy gowns from her collection dating from 1928 to 2000 at iD Dunedin Fashion Week.

The gowns provided the perfect finale for the iD Fashion Show held on successive nights at Dunedin’s historic railway station on April 24 and 25 as part of iD Dunedin Fashion Week.

Raymond’s famous Los Angeles vintage boutique The Way We Wore is regularly visited by some of the biggest names in fashion. Designers she has worked with include Nicolas Ghesquiere, Lauren, Michael Kors, John Galliano, Tamara Mellon and Dita Von Teese.

While in Dunedin, Raymond received some pretty exciting phone calls. Firstly, to hear the news that style icon Iris Apfel will be visiting her store next week. The other call was from Raf Simons right hand at Christian Dior calling to say they’ll be paying a visit soon!

Here’s the collection with images that also include some of the backs of the gowns too because often they’re the main feature.
