It’s fair to say that Karl Lagerfeld’s no neophyte when it comes to staging ornate fashion shows of the whimsical variety. Over the years he’s hauled in tonnes of ice to adorn runways, transformed the catwalk into a casino and erected an entire Chanel market stocked with over 100,000 faux products. Yesterday’s Chanel  Spring/Summer 2016 show was no exception as Lagerfeld turned Paris’ Grand Palais into a Chanel-themed airport complete with baggage check, arrival and departure gates, and of course, Chanel luggage.  Take a look at the show and some of our favourite pieces from the collection in the gallery below.
