One of the missing Nigerian schoolgirls captured two years ago had been found and reunited with her mother.

According to the BBC Amina Ali Nkeki, 19, was found with a four-month-old baby by an army-backed vigilante group on Tuesday in Nigeria’s Sambisa Forest, close to the border with Cameroon.

Nkeki was one of 219 schoolgirls missing since they were abducted from a secondary school in eastern Chibok in April 2014 by Islamist militant group Boko Haram.

Nkeki was allegedly found with a Boko Haram fighter who is now in the Nigerian military’s custody.

She has been taken to receive medical attention and would be helped to reintegrate into society, a spokesman for Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari said.
