It’s Food Revolution Day!

It’s Food Revolution Day!
Fighting the good fight is Jamie Oliver’s life goal.

Today is Food Revolution Day, a global campaign to put compulsory practical food education on the school curriculum, across the globe.

Jamie Oliver has spent almost his entire career enacting change through education and awareness, a campaign that has seen a focus placed on bringing children into the kitchen in an inspiring and – most importantly – fun way.

“We’re currently facing a global obesity epidemic, with 42 million children under the age of five either overweight or obese across the world. The bottom line is the next generation will live shorter lives than their parents if nothing is done to rectify these alarming stats” stated Oliver.

Hoping to equip the future generations with the basic skills they need to lead healthier, happier lives, Jamie is ensuring a revolution of thought and practice, for themselves and their future families.

The revolution however, cannot be propagated without the help of everyone across the world, spreading its powerful message of health and happiness.

“It’s essential that we arm future generations with the life skills they urgently need in order to lead healthier, happier, more productive lives. I passionately believe this is every child’s human right and I hope you agree”

“If you can help me get millions of people to sign this petition, we can create a movement powerful enough to force all G20 governments to take action. Food education will make a difference to the lives of the next generations… I can’t do it without you.”

To help spread the word, Jamie Oliver has petitioned the assistance of Sir Paul McCartney, Ed Sheeran and Hugh Jackman, amongst others, to spread the word and get the food revolution started.

Do your bit by signing the petition and leading the revolution in your own home.
