Samantha Beavans was diagnosed with cervical cancer when she went into labour 14 weeks early. Doctors had mistaken the cancer symptoms for those of pregnancy, leading to the late, fatal diagnoses after it was confirmed that the cancer had spread to her brain and become terminal.
But Samantha’s family is refusing to give up. Six-year-old Bracken has already vowed that she and her little sister Daisy will sell all their toys to help fund treatment in Central America.
The family has already pledged that they will soon become homeless to save on paying rent, as it won’t be home without Mrs Beaven anyway.
The treatment they are so desperate to raise funds for is a revolutionary hyperthermia treatment not yet available in the UK.
Wendy Campling, a family friend, is helping the family prepare for the flash sale.
“They will sell everything they have to keep their mummy for longer,” Campling said.
“They can live without their car and other stuff but not without their mummy.
“Sam knows her cancer cannot be cured but with the right treatment she could live to be around for her babies for many years.”
