Australians catch a celestial light show
Australians caught a glimpse of a celestial light show last night, when a pink room rose for a total lunar eclipse.

Shutterbugs across australia were ready for their moonshots last night. They were among the spectators hoping to catch sight of a lunar eclipse.

When the earth got between the sun and the moon and all were perfectly aligned, it cast its shadow over it, turning it orange. The entire event played out over a few hours, though it’s possible to watch the replay in less time.

Eclipses happen a few times a year, and Australians will get their next chance to see one on October 8.
