All you need to know about Dior’s fairytale Haute Couture show

If your invite to Dior’s spring/summer 2017 show got lost in the mail, fret not, we’ve rounded up everything you need to know about the show. The show is the first Dior Couture show under the direction of newcomer Maria Grazia Chiuri, the former co-Creative Director of Valentino – and she didn’t disappoint.

The set was a magical wonderland

Uber-feminine fashion is back, hurrah!

A solitary pair of pants were paraded down the Dior haute couture runway, making Chiuri’s message clear: not only should we all be feminists – the emotive words emblazoned on one of Chiuri’s tees on the spring/summer 2017 runway – we should all be embracing uber-feminine fashion too. Models looked like they’d just stepped out of a fairytale in diaphanous gowns with embroiled celestial detailing. Take a look at our favourite looks from the runway here.

 

The front row was pretty dreamy too 

When we’d finished evaluating every single look we’d love in our dream wardrobes, we were busy admiring all the front row action. The always beautiful Kirsten Dunst and Diane Kruger were just a couple of the famous faces at the show; and the faces of Dior Homme’s new campaign – A$AP Rocky and Rami Malek – were also in attendance.
