Awesome loss this week!
I ate out A LOT this past week but I managed to make smarty-pants food choices, walk my dogs every afternoon for 20-30 mins and stay within my daily and weekly ProPoints allowance.

Did I reap the rewards? You bet! After weighing in tonight I'm excited to share that I lost 1.7kg! One of my biggest losses yet :-) *Happy dance*

The best thing I've recently done to help my weight loss is change my meeting to Monday nights. This keeps my impending doo, I mean weigh in, sitting at the top of my mind gently chanting "weiiigh iiin.... weiiigh iiin" all weekend while the cocktails are calling my name.

Here are my mini-triumphs over the last week that might inspire your own healthy choices:

    •    Bought a packet of Tim Tams and managed to have 1 per night for dessert IF I felt like it, not just cos it was 'dessert time'. I also had my boyfriend count them every night to make sure I wasn't cheating.

    •    Went to the local burger barn on Tuesday night and chose a grilled mackerel burger on a wholemeal bun, no butter and lots of salad. Ate none of my boyfriend's hot chips (if I had one, the whole bag was a goner).

    •    Chose grilled calamari and salad at Hog's Breath during dinner with a friend. At the movies I took in a bottle of water and chewie.

    •    Thursday coffee date, had a healthy lunch at home first - tuna with spinach leaves and cruskits - and chose the smallest slice of carrot cake and a skinny cap at the cafe.

    •    Saturday night dinner with the man, I chose a Thai restuarant is it's a healthier cuisine. Enjoyed stir-fried prawns in the most amazing lemongrass and chilli dressing. I guesstimated half a cup of rice. Afterwards at the bar I had a mojito and was the deso driver.

    •    Afternoon tea at a friend's place. We we made a fresh pot of chai tea and I had one of her cute freshly-baked vanilla cup cakes.

    •    At the pub on Sunday afternoon I had one wine then switched to diet coke with fresh lime while the boys went round-for-round on beers.

    •    For Sunday pub lunch I chose the Thai beef salad which was amazing. Normally I go the chicken burger but saved my ProPoints instead for a scoop of coconut gelato at the park.

Here I am at the Sunday markets borrowing my friend's pram to push my precious bundle of winey joy.
