Exhibition: Let it be now

Details: Six emerging artists (Eddie Clemens, Justin Kerr, Kate Newby, Beth O'Brien, Stacey Turner and Kentaro Yamada) subvert artistic conventions and practices in this engaging exhibition.

Date: December 12th 2008 to March 8th 2009.

Exhibition: Fiona Hall: Force Field

Details: Renowned Australian artist Fiona Hall explores the intersection of nature and culture, transforming ordinary objects such as sardine tins, videotapes and paper money into complex and evocative works of art.

Date: 14 November 2008 – 15 February 2009

Location: Christchurch City Art Gallery, Worcester Boulevard and Montreal Street corner, Christchurch, New Zealand.

Exhibition: Hail Falls Noisily on Bamboo Leaves

Details: Seasonal changes in weather and climate in Japan became a popular theme in colour woodblock prints in the late 18th and 19th century known as the Edo period. The exhibition features many works reflective of this trend.

Date: May 31st 2008- April 12th  2009.

Exhibition: Rita Angus: Life & Vision

Details: Rita Angus is one of New Zealand’s most significant artists. This major exhibition features 140 works, many of  which focus on the themes of identity, spirituality and nature that were central to her vision.

Date: November 5th 2008 to February 15th 2009.

Location: Dunedin Public Art Gallery, 30 The Octagon, Dunedin, New Zealand.
