Loral Langemeier's Cash Machine Workshop - The Verdict
MiNDFOOD's Cash Machine Workshop competition winner, Lee Ball, tells us about her experience with Loral Langemeier and her team of coaches at the "Live out Loud" three-day seminar.
BY Lee Ball | Sep 30, 2009

Loral Langemeier and her team of coaches and supporters kept the group of 180 workshop participants fully engaged, challenged and inspired for three full days of the financial guru's Cash Machine Workshop.

She was a phenomenal presenter, combining wonderful stories and anecdotes from her life with practical information and knowledge for creating financial wealth and freedom. She was warm, funny, direct and challenging - often calling upon random workshop participants to share their progress, fears or beliefs that were limiting them. Loral would then coach them in a way that was encouraging, supportive and provided learning for us all. It was a privilege to learn from her.

What did I learn?

It didn't take long to realise my greatest stumbling block to financial success is myself! For me, some key things that Loral said were: "Get the best out of today rather than waiting for the perfect moment", and "Say YES, then figure out how!"

It seems that a big thing for most people is procrastination and the fear of not getting it right. We were encouraged to ask ourselves the question: "If you were placed anywhere in the world right now, how would you earn money?" In other words, determining what our "cash machine" would be, and using the skill set we already possess.

We were taken through various exercises to help us determine what our initial cash machine business could be. For example, we had to discover our top 10 core values that we live by - the values that represent who we are and speak to our true essence. My top six values include integrity, freedom and creativity and my cash machine would need to incorporate all of these for it to be fully successful for me.

We also learned the value of sales and marketing as essential for a business to succeed. On day three the seminar room was converted into a huge, open "market place" where we had to generate sales amongst ourselves for two hours!

We had to make advertising signs for our business or product and wear these on our body as we mingled in the market place. It was intense to say the least. I managed to make 15 sales of my product - Soul Doodle greeting cards: "Unique, original designs, made in New Zealand". It was a valuable exercise of putting yourself out there, actually making money and taking that first step in marketing your business.

I met some wonderful people with some really unique business ideas and I was continually inspired and energised by the Live Out Loud team. We were encouraged to network amongst ourselves and choose people to become our team members to help grow our businesses. Loral cautioned:" If you don't have enough time, then you don't have enough team."

She shared how her team includes top financial strategists to her house cleaner that she absolutely couldn't do without. She insisted that if we were really serious about becoming entrepreneurs then we should not be cleaning our houses. Get someone else to do it and spend that extra time on your business.

What's my next step?

I've said "YES" and now I'm figuring out how. I will keep plugged into Loral, read her books, review my workshop notes and believe in myself. I will spend time everyday working "on" my business and will endeavour to surround myself with a team of supporters.

Thank you MiNDFOOD for giving me this incredible opportunity
