What sparked your interest in raw foods?
A book called The Tao of Health, Sex and Longevity by health and healing expert Daniel Reid inspired me to add more raw foods to my diet. I noticed the benefits immediately.
How do you get your children to eat raw vegetables?
My children Benjamin, 7, and Ella, 5, have grown up with a mother who is passionate about food and the power it has. I have never had a conversation with them about good and bad foods. I just prepare nourishing foods for them. Both of my children will go out into our garden and harvest straight from the vine, bush or tree.
It is normal to them.
What did you eat yesterday?
Breakfast was a green smoothie. For morning tea I had a couple of apples and some strawberries. Lunch was a salad of avocado, tomatoes, spinach, parsley, mint and currants with a garlic and lemon dressing. Afternoon tea was one of my super smoothies containing frozen bananas, raw honey, almond milk, cinnamon, cayenne pepper and the raw superfoods maca and cacaco. For dinner we had homemade pad thai with a cucumber, sesame seed and coriander salad.
