Have the courage to draw a line between your future and the negative experiences from your past. Do not take your negative experiences with you; they will weigh you down. They no longer deserve to be part of your life.
Letting go and releasing those experiences creates space for new and better things to come to you.
Discipline yourself to do this and you will discover that a positive reward goes hand in hand with the process of letting go.
If you have difficulty, then surround yourself with supportive people who will help you let go and move on with confidence, people who believe in you and who are not attached to your negative experience.
Get a fresh vision for your future and develop a plan to move forward, something that will stimulate you and give you a clear and positive focus. For example, something creative that will bring life and hope back into your soul.
Tell yourself you are free from your past and your future is full of goodness. There is power in positive affirmation; it changes your self-talk and self-thought.
As the quote goes: “Forget those things which are behind and reach forward to those things which are ahead.” Your past is history and your future awaits you.
