Equality Now is a charity that protects the rights of women; its main goal is to make sex trafficking illegal and stop female genital mutilation.

Each year, the film Serenity (2005) by Joss Whedon (pictured) is shown in 51 cities to raise money for the charity.

This year it will screen on the following dates: Adelaide (July 4); Perth (July 5); Brisbane, Launceston and Melbourne (July 6).
