A charity has been established in the former Formula 1 Driver's name

The family of former Formula 1 race car driver Michael Schumacher has launched a non-profit initiative called “Keep Fighting”.

Schumacher suffered a serious head injury in a skiing accident in December 2013. He was discharged from hospital, but the status of his recovery remains unknown. The initiative aims to “spread the positive energy” that has been shown by Schumacher’s supporters since the accident. According to the initiative’s website, “Keep Fighting hopes to unite everybody inspired by Michael Schumacher to believe they should keep fighting and never give up.”

Keep Fighting plans to develop projects in house “to bring joy to Michael Schumacher’s many fans and supporters” as well as strengthen the wider community. Planed activities include a Schumacher exhibition in Marburg, and a Champions for Charity football match.
