Parents make ‘bucket list’ for unborn, terminally ill baby
A couple who received a tragic diagnosis for their unborn son have decided to complete a 'bucket list' before he is born.

Jenna Haley was just 13 weeks pregnant when doctors delivered the devastating news that her unborn son had anencephaly.

The  life expectancy of babies with the terminal brain defect condition ranges anywhere from hours to days.

Together with her husband Don, the expectant mother decided not to waste any time that they had with their baby while he was still growing inside his mother.

So the couple embarked on ticking off a bucket list, taking their unborn son, who they have named Shane, on lots of adventures to their favourite places.

Over the weekend they, like many other Americans, visited an orchard to pick out a pumpkin for Shane. Last week they attended a “shower of love” party with all their loved ones and friends.

Other trips included museums, the Empire State Building and the beach.

Photos of the trips to the couple’s favourite childhood places are posted on a Facebook page the couple created, Prayers for Shane, which now has more than 230,000 followers.

“We are asking for your prayers and support and that God grants us as much time as possible with our beautiful son,” they write on the Facebook page. “Shane has already proven to us that each day must be lived to the fullest and that is exactly what our little family is doing,” the couple wrote on their page.

Shane is due on October 12. Take a look at some of the adventures captured in these images, courtesy of their Facebook page.
