Louis Vuitton to release not one but seven fragrances

The French fashion house is taking on the world of fragrance once again – Louis Vuitton last released a fragrance back in 1946 – with legendary perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, the nose behind a handful of Issey Miyake, YSL, Tom Ford and Giorgio Armani scents, creating the Les Parfums collection.  Since we’ve been waiting for quite some time for Louis Vuitton to explore the olfactory realm, the luxury fashion house and Cavallier-Belletrud have decided to delight our senses with not one but seven unique scents.

A fragrant ode to travel and emotion, the legendary perfumer spent months travelling the five continents in search of unexpected emotion and the most exquisite materials; while an endless number of possibilities were created in the process, in the end it was seven one-of-a-kind olfactory journeys he settled on. “I went looking for ingredients that could help me tell the stories I wanted to tell,” says Cavallier-Belletrud speaking about his journey.  Notes used within the Les Parfums collection include magnolia, osmanthus and a rare sambac jasmine from China, C02-extracted jasmine and May roses from Grasse and bespoke leather infusions created using Louis Vuitton’s natural leather.

The Les Parfums Collection will be available from September.
