The countdown to New Zealand Fashion Week is officially on with the provisional designer line-up announced today. Both local and international designers will take to the runway from the 24th to the 30th of August. Home-grown highlights include iconic New Zealand designers – Zambesi, NOM*d, Juliette Hogan and Trelise Cooper – and a handful of newcomers including Auckland’s much talked about Harman Grubiša. Wellington’s very own Project Runway success story, Sean Kelly, will present his eagerly awaited capsule collection.
NZFW Managing Director Dame Pieter Stewart is thrilled with the calibre of designers showing this year. “New Zealand Fashion Week remains a central hub for the local fashion industry and the key platform for both new and established designers to showcase their 2016 collections. This line up reflects the excellence, innovation and diversity that exists in the New Zealand fashion community – something we passionately endeavour to promote and maintain.”
