What’s your preferred flavour from the Nespresso range? 

My favourite Nespresso Grand Cru coffee is Rosabaya de Colombia. It is one of our “Pure Origin” espressos, a blend of Colombian Arabicas grown and hand-picked on small plantations. It has a mid-range intensity of 6 with winey notes reminiscent of red fruits. 

And how do you like your coffee? 

I like to drink my coffee as a short black, no sugar. 

What makes the Maestria machine unique?

The Maestria machine range has been inspired by the world of professional coffee-making. It combines engineering, design and precision capabilities. Both machine models, the Maestria and the Gran Maestria have been designed to enable everyone to create the perfect cup of coffee at home, just like a true Barista. The dials at the front of both machines allow users to adjust the volume of coffee poured in order to compliment their choice of Grand Cru coffee. 

Why has the steam wand been introduced when Nespresso is known for being ‘one touch’?

The Maestria is a hands-on machine. The steam wand on the Maestria model has been developed to allow customers to prepare milk-based coffees with traditional tools. It uses optimised air intake technology to achieve the perfect milk texture to accommodate any coffee recipe.  Of course for those customers who prefer the convenience of an automatic milk-frothing device, the Gran Maestria comes equipped with an Aeroccino which is capable of creating 4 types of milk: cold milk, hot milk and two hot milk froth textures (stiff or velvety froth).
