A Little Bit of Italy arrives in Broke

By Mariam Digges

Outside of the hustle and bustle of tourist-jammed Polkobin, you’ll find the beautiful Broke Fordwitch Wine Region in NSW’s Hunter Valley.

Broke offers Hunter-goers their very own little slice of tranquility. For one weekend this April (13-14), they’ll be offering a slice of Italy, in the form of events to showcase all that the region has to offer. From live music to Italian cooking demonstrations, to classic Italian cars and motorbikes, and of course, all the wine, wood-fired pizza, gelato and cheese you can handle, the festival is celebrating its seventh year in 2013.

Starting as a private dinner, A Little Bit of Italy in Broke now attracts more than 3,000 people to the region, and this year offers more venues than ever before, including two top-notch restaurants and 12 great cellar doors. There will also be three Italian-inspired dinners being hosted on the Saturday night. For more information, visit www.italyinbroke.com.au.

Buon Appetitio!
