Michael Kors Sexy Rio

W Kors SS15 W Kors catwalk W Sexy Rio EDP

Featuring notes of tuberose, musk and soft woods, the new Michael Kors Sexy Rio fragrance is a tribute to the glamour, culture and sensuality of this iconic city.

Here fashion designer Michael Kors and fragrance nose Trudi Loren tell us about the creation of this new scent…

Michael Kors:

Why did you choose Rio as the first destination for MK Collection fragrance?

It’s a chic, fascinating city with a rich culture and a love of style. It radiates romance and adventure—the two ideas that inspired the Sexy fragrance line to begin with.

What do you love about that city in particular?

The sun, the heat, the fabulous music, the diverse culture that celebrates beauty and dancing and art and of course, the beach.

What makes Rio (the city, and the fragrance) sexy?

Rio (the city and the fragrance) is bold, seductive, complex and unique.

Is this fragrance for the woman who wore the original Sexy fragrance or another?

If she’s looking for a little more heat, then yes! We wanted to keep the heart of the original fragrance while adding a warmer sandalwood and vanilla finish. It’s a sensual update that’s great for summer.

What are the must-have fashion items you should bring to Rio?

Metallic sandals, a pair of white jeans, a black bikini, sunscreen, aviator sunglasses and a Michael Kors Sexy Rio fragrance, of course!

What are your fashion tips for what to wear in Rio during the day? And at night?

Rio is all about relaxed glamour during the day and indulging at night. Casual shorts and chic sandals are perfect for exploring the sights under the sun, while after-hours calls for a sleek dress and heels that are ready to dance.

Trudi Loren :

What was the inspiration for Sexy Rio de Janeiro?

Rio de Janeiro is an iconic city filled with energy, vibrancy and, of course, sensuality. Capturing all of this in a scent was a creative challenge but a fun one.

How does this juice differ from the original Sexy Amber?

The Sexy Amber fragrance is built around the sensuality of Amber wrapped in Sandalwood. It is a scent focused on the use of raw materials to define a mood not a fragrance inspired by a destination. From an olfactive perspective, there is a bouquet a flowers in the heart and vibrant, juicy fruity notes on top which are not in the Sexy Amber fragrance.

How does the fragrance olfactively transport the wearer to Rio?

The use of Brazilian Mango gives the fragrance effervescence reminiscent of the colors of Rio while the heady floralcy of Linden Blossom and Gardenia create the steamy heat of the beach.

How are the ingredients seductive?

The seductive ingredients are the Vanilla Tahiti SFE combined with musk and Ambrox for a warm skin effect.

What type of woman do you imagine when creating the fragrance?

This is definitely for an extrovert! She is confident in her sensuality without being overtly sexual and she is generous of heart just like Brazilian women.

Have you ever been to Rio? If so, what was a favorite part of your experience?

Yes, I have been to Rio and found it fascinating. My favorite part is the people and their love of life. Nothing is boring in Rio de Janeiro!

Modern Muse Chic – Arizona Muse interview

W Modern+Muse+Chic_Product+on+White_Global_Expires+Sept+'15

Estée Lauder unveils two new Modern Muse Moments films directed by Filmmaker, Steven Sebring. These films are the second installment in the Modern Muse Moments film series and coincide with the launch of the new Modern Muse Chic fragrance.

For the launch of Estee Lauder’s Modern Muse fragrance, filmmaker Steven Sebring created a film on Estee Lauder muse and spokesmodel, Arizona Muse.

Now, on the launch of the new fragrance Modern Muse chic, two new films have been created about Arizona Muse’s personal muses – actress Cody Horn and the Paris Opera Ballet’s principal dancer, Amandine Albisson.

Here Arizona Muse shares her thoughts on why she chose these special women…

How did you choose Cody and Amandine to be your muses?

Cody and Amandine are two beautiful, intelligent young women who lead very different, yet equally remarkable lives and I find them incredibly inspiring. I’m blessed that each of them has influenced my life in different ways.

There are so many styles of dance, why ballet?

I have always been intrigued by the art of dance. There is something about the way a dancer can evoke feelings and emotions in an audience. Every time I see a performance I’m moved – it alters the way I think about life.  That being said, there is something extraordinary about a ballerina. It’s an art form that takes such precision and discipline. The amount of time and effort Amandine has put into her career is unfathomable to me. When you watch her dance, it’s as though she is a fairy, her beauty is like something from another world – that makes her a powerful muse.

There are so many actresses, why Cody?

Cody and I have been friends for a long time. She started her career as a model, which is how we met – we had an instant connection and have been friends ever since. Over the years her career has evolved and now she is an extremely talented actress. Cody is a beautiful soul, she speaks her truth every day and is deeply in touch with herself and what makes her happy. To me, that’s the ultimate muse.

Both of your muses perform, either on stage or on screen. Is this something you’re interested in pursuing in the future?

I’ve taken some acting classes and I really enjoy them. I always imagine that as an actress (or actor), you have this limitless platform for self-expression and I find that very enticing. My goal in life is to follow what makes me happy, so if performing is it, then I believe it will come into my life when I need it.

Your muses are around your age. What drew you to these women?

I’m really happy that Amandine, Cody and I are around the same age. It’s inspiring to see young women who have accomplished so much. Hopefully, a lot of our “muse worthy” acts are still yet to come. I feel so blessed to be friends with people like Amandine and Cody and to see where we all go together.
