Prior to this weekend, North Shore-based M.A.C enthusiasts had to journey across the bridge to get their fix of the cult cosmetics brand. But prayers and a petition have been answered, and the brand’s offerings are now much closer to home with M.A.C opening its very first counter in Westfield Albany.“We have had a steady stream of North Shore residents asking for a M.A.C Cosmetics outlet for some time now. Some even set up a petition requesting for a M.A.C counter in Albany. How could we ignore that? We are so excited to be able to finally cater to their needs,” says Tanya Jackson, Brand General Manager, M·A·C Cosmetics New Zealand.The brand spanking new counter, located within Farmers, is New Zealand’s 13th store and the seventh counter in Auckland
The brand spanking new counter, located within Farmers, brings with it a New Zealand first: an interactive M.A.C playtable kitted out with M.A.C’s line-up of lipsticks and lipglass products. “The playtable enables customers to play with makeup in a less structured way meaning they can have a more fun and playful experience,” says Jackson.
M·A·C’s Menu of Services, where customers can experience full-face make-up applications and lessons from 30-90 minutes, focus feature services concentrating on one area of the face for 10-15 minutes, and M·A·C Parties, are all available at the new counter.
