Husband and wife of 65 years die 10 minutes apart

Husband and wife of 65 years die 10 minutes apart
Together for 70 years, devoted couple Mavis and Harry Stevenson died 10 minutes apart in this ultimate love story.

Married for 65 years, Harry (88) and Mavis Stevenson (89) were living at a care home when they passed.

After Mavis was forced to move there, Harry decided to move in shortly after because he didn’t want to live apart, family members say. It was here at St Werburgh’s House in Spondon that the couple had celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary together.

Sharing a bedroom together, Harry was looking after his ill wife. A war veteran, he had moved to Derby with his loving wife, where the couple spent most of their life together after the Second World War.

But after a turn for the worse, Mavis passed away at the care facility at 10:50am on November 3, the Mirror reports

When nurses relayed the sad news to Harry, he began to cry. Less than 10 minutes later, he himself passed away.

“They would not have wanted to live without each other, so I think it was the perfect ending,” the couple’s nephew, Stephen Cresswell, told the Mirror.
