Blow Dry Bar – Express & Affordable Beauty

By MiNDFOOD

Want a girls night out with a beautifying point of difference? Blow Dry Bar is the perfect first stop for your next night out on the town.

Founded in 2008, the first Blow Dry Bar salon opened on Sydney’s Market Street. Today, it is one of the fastest growing franchises Sydney. It’s point of difference? Patrons need only pay $40 for a full hair service – complete with a wash and therapeutic head massage – all ready in just 30 minutes. It takes some people longer to decide on an outfit for a night out.

“We understand that women are time-poor these days, so we offer an express blow dry in just 30 minutes. That includes a wash and massage!” says Blow Dry Bar’s founder, Nathan Cuneen.

The first thing you notice when you step into the salon, is the attentive service.

“Would you like a champagne?” I am asked, only moments after stepping into the salon. It’s a sunny December afternoon – a night out with girlfriends is on the horizon – so my reply is, naturally, “yes please.”

More than just a blow dry salon (although, this is undoubtedly, their signature service), Blow Dry Bar is a full-service hair salon, offering style cuts, colours, and even an expert extension service.

“$40 for a blow dry (including the wash and massage) is a steal these days – and some would say the best and cheapest pick me up,” says Cuneen.

Another unique service offered by the salon, are beauty parties; for only $60 per head, your whole group of girlfriends can partake in a salon party, and prepare for a girls night out all together – complete with champagne and a full pampering experience. It means the partying can start a little earlier –not to mention, you will be primped and looking fabulous once you actually hit the town. Because, as Cuneen reminds me: “As some say, good hair, happy women!”

Armed with one of the best blow dries my locks have ever experienced, I can attest to that.

Blow Dry Bar now have 23 salons open in Australia. For more information, visit their website.
