Fragile Oceans

By Kate Hassett

Fragile Oceans
A campaign symbolising the fragility of our oceans is raising awareness for marine life in Australia

In a series of beautiful photographs, film and design collective, COLLIDER is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Australian Marine Conservation Society by exposing the danger of losing our beloved sea creatures.

Raising awareness for Australia’s fragile marine coastline, the COLLIDER images symbolise a deeper message about the importance of preserving our beautiful sea life. Amidst dangers like over-fishing, oil drilling, tourism, climate change and pollution, our marine life are helpless without the assistance of conservation groups and public awareness.

The print images represent the plight of sea animals across the world, with air bubbles being used as a metaphor to discuss the fragility of marine species.

These beautiful still shots accompany a short film of the same nature.
