Andrea Moore proved she was serious about her plans to grow her self-titled fashion label at New Zealand Fashion Week yesterday.
This year she presented her collection with a high energy fast-paced show in Fashion Week’s largest venue and she packed it out too.
Not only that but it seemed that Moore had double the number of models and clothing exits. Singer Ginny Wigmore also opened and closed the show with a live performance.
Moore’s autumn/winter 2015 collection WinkWink, inspired by surrealism, was rich in colour and style, and accessorised by her new range of eyewear, handbags and jewellery.
“Surrealism is all about using your imagination to do things and doing it a little bit differently and pushing the boundaries,” Moore said.
It was also the debut of Moore’s diffusion line, I AM, led by emerging designer Jacenta Kwan. I AM’s autumn/winter 2015 collection Curious Cat comprised a broad range of preppy fun styles.
Moore said I AM was a response to customer demand. “We get a lot of people wanting casual, work and glamour, everything, and everyone is time poor so we want to be able to give people as much as possible.”
Moore has definitely delivered on that.
