A visit to Margaret River Farmers’ Market

A visit to Margaret River Farmers’ Market
Only seasonal local produce is sold from the weekly Margaret River Farmers' Market.

If you’re planning a visit to Margaret River, Western Australia put the Margaret River Farmers’ Market on your list!

The delightful market is an experience you won’t want to rush, particularly if you are a foodie.

Thanks to its Mediterranean climate and fertile soil the Margaret River region has an abundance of fresh produce as well as a reputation for producing world-class food and wine, and many of its producers converge here.

In fact only local producers are allowed to sell their wares here though pecan nuts from the neigbouring shire have allowed in but that’s only because no one in Margaret River town is producing pecans. This way local producers are promoted and supported.

However, on any given day producers come and go before returning again because the fare changes with the seasons. Sustainability and low food miles rank highly here.
