54 per cent of women won’t let their partner see them without make-up for a year
54 per cent of women won't let their partner see them without makeup until they've been dating for 12 months, new results suggest.

It may come as a surprise, but a survey of women aged between 18 and 30 revealed that over half (54 per cent) would not let their partners see them without cosmetics (tinted moisturiser included) until they’d hit the 12 month mark.

Interestingly, when it came to baring their bodies, women were a lot more confident, with 51 per cent admitting they would be happy to shed their clothes after just six months.

“We were shocked to find out so many women feel so insecure about their skin that they would hide behind their make-up for such a long length of time,” said Maxine Flint, owner of skincare brand Flint + Flint, who conducted the survey.

“We would have expected less body confidence than skin shyness.”

What do you think about the survey results? Do they ring true among your circle of friends?
